Summer

Shannon and Bob had their baby last Monday! She's absolutely beautiful. Samantha Grace. She weighed in at 7lbs 10 ounces. And I must say.. she looks JUST like Bob! LOL This is the picture I took for their announcements. She's just the most precious little thing. I went over yesterday and played some cards and hung out with Shannon and her mom. It was fun. It's so nice to hold a new baby and to smell them. Samantha smells so darn good, too!

Things around here are getting busy. Brittany's been doing really well with her braces. She got the color thingies changed the other day. Now I call her watermelon mouth. She picked bright green and pink. Whatever! But at least she's taking care of them 110% better than I thought she would. At the end of April, she will get her head gear. I hope she doesn't give us too much crap about that. And then soon? Anthony will have braces, too. There goes $300 a month in braces. Ouch ouch ouch

We went to Texas a few weeks ago for Charlie's family birthday/reunion/party type thing. That was ok. It freaking rained the whole time. I'm sure some of you saw all of the flooding that Dallas had? Yep. That's where we were. The flooding was very scary. I was riding int he car with my fingers covering my ears and my eyes squeezed shut as tight as I could get them. hmmm I wonder if I have a picture of that... Ahhhh there it is!Isn't that crazy? That is an off ramp and the water was 1/2 way up the light poles!

Oh then there is the wedding. I placed my order for the flowers the other day... I'm not sure if I'm convinced that they are what I want... I put $200 down towards them. So what do you think of these? They are kind of purple for my liking. We aren't going to have as much pink in there. We're going to use candlelight roses I think.. I think next I will find and pay for a cake.. and then a photographer... It's going to be hard to pick a photographer.. And I guess i need to book a block of hotel rooms for people, too. *sigh* this stinks! I hate stress. OH and invitations. I did pay someone from 2peas to make some stuff for me.. but.. she hasn't gotten back to me. I don't know at what point I should get nervous LOL

Today is a BIG day! For what you ask???

Well, after watching the Soprano's last night (yayayay!!! I'm sooo glad it's back on!) I fell fast asleep. Only to be awaken by Shannon around 11:15 I think ? Saying that it's baby time! She was having strong contractions and they were heading off to the hospital! Can you believe it? Wahoooy! They ended up sending her home since she's in the early stages of labor. Hell that can last FOREVER! LOL I am so excited. Charlie's still convinced that he's going to call this baby Oksana. Speaking of baby's. I can't believe Mona is pregnant. Holy shit!!! At 45? Lord help me if that ever happens to ME but--- I'm excited for her. Hell. I'm excited for anyone who has a baby other than myself LOL

Also on the important news of the day?? Today?? This morning? 10am???? Tim McGraw tickets go on sale at 10am! I can't wait! He's coming to Raleigh with Faith. Hell I don't even hardly know many Faith songs LOL I'll just sit there and sway back and forth. But Tim? Wahoooyyyy!!!!! I'm so there!

We moved the kids rooms around last night. Talk about tiring chore. I still need to finish cleaning up the girls room but Brittany's room is pretty much done. As is the boys room. Who knew such little people could accumulate so much shit!?!? Where do they get it all?????

My mom is coming this week. Wednesday night to be exact. I think she'll end up bringing a U-haul with her to bring all the crap she's bringing down. Oh--reference back up to where they get all their shit from... Nana! She's bringing curtains and comforters and blah blah blah blah blah lol She's staying until NEXT Friday-- and my dad and sister are coming next Thursday to spend the night on their way to Myrtle Beach and then again spending the night on Sunday. We're going to have a busy week!

We leave this Friday, the 17th to go to Texas. What on earth can I possibly do in Texas?? I wonder if I can spy Matthew McConaughy with my little eye? bwahahaha... That man is dreamy!

Well, congrats I think? lol I knew you were on the fence about it before. How is Sara doing with it all?? I'm going to have to email you. But for now? I have to go get my girls up for school.

Moving On

Guess what??

This is the first year in 4 years that I haven't been a total wreck that Nathan choked. I feel so liberated. I feel like maybe I'm emotionally passed the horror and guilt and fear. It's a great feeling. I can't believe it's been 4 years! I remember that day more than I remember the day he was born. Weird huh?

This morning I am going out to breakfast with Shannon and Cecil. I think we're just going to the cracker barrel. Blah! I'll just get Eggs and ham and white toast. Shannon and I went for salad and soup yesterday. It was shockingly good. (But they put black olives on my salad. Yuck!)

Dana Reeves died yesterday. That's so sad. I literally gasped. I feel so bad for that family. She truly exemplifies commitment. Just sooo sads.

Charlie is gone all week to Virginia Beach. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... I'll be here with the kids. By Friday? I'll be institutionalized. Next week my mom and Patti are coming. That should be interesting. They plan on redoing the kids rooms. OH speaking of rooms??? The bonus room is 90% done. I mean it's painted, the floor is in, part of the base boarding molding is done... etc. Anthony has been sleeping in the room. Yay!
