sick sick sick

Man all of these kids are S-I-C-K! Nathan had the strep throat on Tuesday, Brooke came home from school on Wednesday and today Megan came home from school. They are running fevers of 101-102 but it only seems to last through one dose of tylenol and then again at night it acts up.
This weekend John's parents come here. And his brother and soon-to-be-sister in law. They are bringing the kids their Christmas gifts. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Just what we need. More gifts. We've been throwing crap away lately. Well, at least putting it in garbage bags. If I tell them to clean their rooms and they don't? Poof, it's in the black bag. I'm tired of this game LOL

It was 66 outside yesterday. Today the high is like 40? No wonder everyone is sick. My van is still in the shop> I'm driving some little Toyota car. I've never driven foreign cars LOL It's so tin'ish. They said my van was done today but it wasn't. I test drove it and the problem still wasn't fixed so I had them take it back into the shop. I'm sure they will be glad to get rid of me huh? :) LOL

Lord Almighty!

It took me two days to figure out what was wrong with this stupid journal. Guess what was wrong? ME! LOL I was using the wrong sign in name. Sometimes I'm not the smartest person I swear. Anyhow...
Today I had to take Brooke back to her pediatrcian for a follow up on her UTI's. she's had them almost non-stop since October. It's time to refer her back to the Urologist. She's just staying infected and it sucks. I'm not sure what else to do. We're on our 3rd medicine. I'm waiting for our old Dr to call me back with a suggestion. I'm teetering with the idea of flying her back up there for treatment instead of seeing a new one. We did, however, make an appointment with a Dr at Duke but it's not until March.
Nathan went to the Dr today, too. He has a fever of 101 and strep throat again. I give up! I forgot to ask about the flu shot. Damn! I hate when kids are sick. Oh also I freaking HATE walmart. They take so long to fill anything! It cost me $100 for 3 medicines! AND--- That doesn't count the medicine LOL I had to shop to pass the time. I'm stopping going there. It's just stupid.
It's finally warming up. Today I believe it was 52. OH also today is my little sisters 17th birthday. Good God, 17! Now I'm feeling old. I remember her friends as being little tiny kids. Now they drive and have boyfriends/girlfriends, blah! My kids better stay little all the time.
Oh yesterday at Anthonys award thingy, the little girl who likes him kept staring at me and Anthony. It was so funny. It was sooo me when I was in the 5th grade. "Hi Mrs Anthony's mom. I really like your jacket" lol or some lame compliment that they thought would buy them points LOL She's cute.

Hi--It's me

It's Monday. I hate Monday's. There really is no point in them. If we skipped Monday's, I wonder if I would start to hate Tuesday? I woke up early this morning to get the older kids showered and ready for school. I had to be at the school for Anthonys Student of the Month awards. He's such a good looking kid! I was looking around that cafeteria and well, to be honest, there aren't too many good looking kids LOL I'm so proud of him! He's really a good kid! Brookie got an award, too! I couldn't hear what the award was for. I *Think* it was called a character award. She'll be so thrilled with the new pencil LOL

Life down here has been COLD! Earlier today it was about 22 degrees outside! Brrrr.. I saw my moms temp said it was like 3F so I guess I shouldn't complain. They were to get 15-18 inches of snow but they ended up with about 8 I think my dad said. I think I'd rather have the snow.I mean when people panic, It's nice to know it's for a reason. Down here in NC-- They all panic. Shut down the whole damn city! All of the highways close and everything. And for what?? 1 inch of snow. What a joke!

My car has to go into the shop this week. It needs something like a rack and pinion? Plus something is wrong with my power steering. It's under warranty which is good. I think we have like $100 deductable. Charlie put new rotors are in this weekend. Now we're waiting for ceramic break pads. (I know nothing about this stuff) He and Bob worked on the bonus room this weekend. THey got a lot done, so they tell me. They started to put up the dry wall and actually did the dormers and part of the ceiling. They also framed out the closet. It's starting to look like a room! Anthony and Nathan will have that room.

Johns parents are coming down this weekend. They are bringing Johns brother and his fiance. Mike is getting married in May. We're going to figure out a way to get the kids up there so that they can be in the wedding. I hate that I won't be able to see them. I'm going to ask that they at least send me some pictures. I bet they will look sooooo cute! Hopefully someone is smart enough to take a picture of John and the kids. Not that I want one with John in it but down the road it will be nice for them to have.
